Position Overview
eNGINE is hiring a Senior Software Developer with deep expertise in database and application development. This individual will operate at the intersection of software engineering and data architecture, helping to deliver high-performing, scalable solutions that rely on well-structured and reliable data foundations.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of software solutions, from concept through production support
- Engineer backend services and data-driven applications that handle high-volume transactions and reporting needs
- Design, develop, and optimize relational and NoSQL database schemas for OLTP and OLAP workloads.
- Write SQL/PL code (stored procedures, functions, triggers, views) and reusable data access components.
- Develop reusable services and interfaces that enable seamless communication between systems
- Evaluate and refine system designs to improve performance, resiliency, and scalability
- Document system behavior, data flows, and technical designs for ongoing support and knowledge sharing
- Enforce secure development practices to safeguard sensitive data and system access
- Establish and maintain automated validation processes to ensure application and data accuracy
- Coordinate application releases, including versioning strategies and database change management
- Investigate and resolve production issues while identifying opportunities for system enhancements
- Continuously assess system performance and implement improvements across application and data layers
- Influence technical direction by recommending tools, frameworks, and architectural improvements
- Support team growth through knowledge sharing, mentorship, and adherence to engineering standards
Required Qualifications
- Deep understanding of database platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL, along with exposure to non-relational systems
- Extensive experience building and supporting full-stack applications in enterprise environments
- Proficiency with backend technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, or .NET ecosystems
- Strong front-end development capabilities using frameworks such as Angular or React
- Expertise in writing and optimizing complex database queries and data processing logic
- Experience designing data structures that support both operational systems and analytical use cases
- Familiarity with modern data integration approaches and pipeline development
- Experience working with container-based deployments and distributed system architectures
- Knowledge of automated build, test, and deployment processes within CI/CD pipelines
- Strong awareness of data protection, access control, and secure coding methodologies
- Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to cloud-enabled data platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments
- Experience supporting systems with significant scale or data complexity
- Familiarity with regulated environments requiring strict data governance
- Background in optimizing application and database performance in production settings
