Senior SEC Accountant

Federated Hermes is seeking a Senior SEC Accountant at our Pittsburgh headquarters to interact with personnel across the organization to participate in the preparation and filing of reports with the SEC.
What you can expect:
- Participating in the coordination and preparation of quarterly reports (10-Q), annual reports (10-K) and current reports (8-K) with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
- Assisting with accounting research, documentation of accounting conclusions and implementation of new accounting pronouncements
- Managing the evaluation process for determining the capitalizability of certain internal and external personnel costs incurred
- Monitoring the development of emerging accounting and reporting rules being deliberated by the SEC, FASB or other standard-setting body
- Assisting with the establishment, documentation and maintenance of accounting policies
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; active CPA license preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience or 2 years of combined public accounting and external reporting experience at a publicly held company
- Experience working in the financial services industry and with SEC report filings preferred
