Overview of Responsibilities:
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you’ll ensure top-quality products by handling customer returns, inspecting materials, and participating in audits and improvement initiatives. You’ll handle the RMA process, perform inspections with precision tools, complete quality documentation, and analyze return trends.
Key Job Elements:
- Execute the return material authorization (RMA) process from request to disposition
- Initiate corrective actions, perform containment, and inspect suspect material
- Inspect incoming raw material and finished goods using calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Complete customer quality documentation i.e., certification of analysis, certification of conformance, etc.
- Participate as an internal audit team member
- Collect data on customer returns and analyze trends
- Drive continual improvement of the customer returns processes
Qualifications:
Required
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in a technical field
- Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings (i.e.; geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) as well as understand complex processes and technical products
- Experience in ERP systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Vision capable to thoroughly inspect product
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist and lift up to and including 60 lbs. unassisted. Assistance must be used for any items over this weight. Assistance is always required for anything weighing over 60 lbs.
Preferred:
- ISO 9001 and lean experience
- Vacuum technology experienced
- Microsoft D365 preferred
