Four Grower’s team is developing the next-generation farming technologies that will enable farmers to grow fresh, low cost, and local produce. Our robots interact with complex natural environments and navigate a space that’s never seen automation.
As the Robotics Software and Perception Engineer at Four Growers, you will be the main driving force behind designing and developing the software for motion planning, system integration, perception analysis, and deployment of a mobile harvesting robot.
As such, you will have the opportunity to test and deploy the system onsite at partnered greenhouses across the globe and will serve a critical role in the engineering and the product decision making process.
BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields.

NEEDED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Thorough knowledge of at least one object oriented programming language
Experience with robotic arms
Strong understanding of robotic system integration
Experience in several of the following categories: motion control, real-time software, machine learning, UX design, and development operations
Experience working with 3D data
HELPFUL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Thorough knowledge of Python, C++, ROS.
Experience with integrating mobile units with the cloud
Background in vision based robotic arm control
Advanced robotic arm motion planning
Understanding of machine learning and convolutional neural networks for object detection and segmentation
