Responsible for multiple customer accounts functioning as the primary interface and directing or coordinating all related business activities. In general, this includes:
Customer relationship management
Customer forecast management and projections
Managing blanket orders, Kanban releases, and other customer contracts
Quoting and negotiating
Track key customer metrics and all corrective actions
Drive improvement initiatives
Communicate inventory control concerns
Lead new product introductions
Manage ECN’s and customer documentation revisions
Customer account management with focus on service, development of relationships and the ability to provide solutions for unique customer requirements that will lead to additional business opportunities.
Gather and document “voice of the customer” input to drive continuous improvement.
Regularly host customers onsite and via teleconference and properly communicate expectations to the team to ensure commitments are met.
Ownership of customer scorecard metrics with the ability to drive improvement across multiple departments.
Lead efforts to provide customer with detailed CAPA reports related to quality and performance issues.
Strong understanding of the principles, systems, and concepts related to the production of electronic assemblies, cable assemblies and electromechanical assemblies. Ability to understand electronic and electrical engineering principals is desired.
Gathers information pertaining to the customer or business for operational metrics such as yields, margins, profits, and other matters relevant to the account and company goals.
Typical responsibilities (but not limited to):
Facilitates request for quote (RFQ) process, ensuring quote accuracy and timely delivery to customer.
Along with customer service; manages customer purchase order receipt and pricing and delivery commitments.
Manages New Product Introduction process including cost, pricing, ECN process and Prototype/FAI actions.
Recovers costs for Non-Recurring Expenses (NRE), business and miscellaneous expenses.
Interfaces with supply chain and company procurement team to create, manage and execute material readiness programs.
Works with customer, purchasing, and operations to manage production and delivery schedules.
Resolves component issues and suggest alternatives to reduce, lead time, cost, and/or excess inventory as well as obsolesce issues.
Provides customer forecast information to management for revenue and labor planning.
Organizes and leads business review meetings between the company and the customer.
Assists in resolving A/R issues as required.
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:
B.S.E.E. Degree or 5-8 years industry experience with an Associate Degree in electronics.
Minimum of 3-5 years of program management experience or sales and account management experience, preferably in the electronics industry.
Previous manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
Prior experience leading cross functional teams and projects.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
Demonstrated knowledge and proven experience establishing milestones, project planning and implementation (execution skills) while meeting commitments, prioritizing, scheduling, and planning: anticipating obstacles and managing risk.
Excellent oral and written communications skills; capable of formal and informal discussions at all levels of the business, customer, and supplier.
Capable of winning the customer over through use of relationship building.
